Riverside is recruiting. Here’s how to join the team…

Riverside, located on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon, is recruiting for new members to join its team.

After its recent refurbishment and expansion which has seen the introduction of three unique offerings – The Muddy Oar Bar & Lounge , The Galley Kitchen and The Upper Deck Riverside Events Space – it has experienced an increase in customer demand and is searching for experienced, energetic bar and restaurant staff.

What roles are available?

The exclusive venue is looking for a Porter, a Cleaner and Team Members.

Here’s everything you need to know about the roles…

Porter

- Ensures service in the kitchen area runs smoothly and works alongside the Head Chef.

- Responsible for food presentation and ensuring all cutlery, utensils and kitchen areas are clean.

- Supports restaurant team, front of house and back of house staff.

- Passionate about Riverside’s menu and food and drink offering.

- Ensures venue is presentable at all times.

- Assist in serving food and drinks to customers.

- Available for shift working including weekends and evening work.

- Open to opportunities for career growth and development.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and time keeping.

- Experience of working in a hospitality environment is preferred.

Cleaner

- Working as part of the Avon Estates team, reporting to the Venue General Manager.

- Responsible for cleaning all areas of the Avon Estates venue, Avon Park office, Riverside office, marketing suite, and the Riverside venues.

- Cleaning up after events, and ensuring all areas are presentable.

- General upkeep of all areas and identifying any concerns to management.

- Assists and helps other team members as and when required.

- Ensures all public areas meet hygiene regulations and are kept clean and tidy.

- Passionate about creating a positive, welcoming place for customers and teams.

- Driven by customer satisfaction.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and time keeping.

- Experience of working in a similar role is preferred, as well as knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Team Members

- Working as part of the front of house team, reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager.

- Greets and serves customers and takes pride in the delivery of food to customers.

- Passionate about the Riverside food and drink menu, offers advice and recommendations to customers, and has an understanding of relevant customer allergens.

- Ensures dishes and kitchenware is clean and presentable for customers.

- Ensures tables and all areas of the venue are presentable at all times.

- Supports the chefs to ensure consistent running of the bar and restaurant service.

- Takes orders and manages the till processing system.

- Presentable, polite and approachable at all times, and has excellent intrapersonal and communication skills and time keeping.

- Available for shift working including weekends and evening work.

- Open to opportunities for career growth and development.

- Experience of working in a hospitality environment is preferred, as well as basic knowledge of food safety standards.
